Groceries

Groceries

Local and organic ingredients abound in Vermont. Here are some of the best sources within a short drive of the property.

At your request, groceries can be purchased on your behalf and stocked to the kitchen. However if you love the experience of browsing farm stands, there are many options for you to consider.

West Dover
15 minutes

Closest place to get gas, pick up sundries, a bottle of wine or dine out.  There is a basic Chinese restaurant, pizza joint and 7-11.

Boyd Family Farm Stand
125 E Dover Rd, Wilmington, VT 05363
15 minutes

Fresh local produce daily

River Valley Market
Route 30, Dover

Meat, wine, snacks, ice cream, some gourmet and organic groceries, flowers.

Good in a pinch, though the farm stands and co-ops have local produce and more selection.

20 minutes, near Adams Farm

Adams Farm
15 Higley Hill Road, Wilmington, VT 05363
20 minutes

Wonderful family farm, animals, local produce.

Worth a visit. Sleigh rides in winter, hiking in summer.

Putney Food Co-op
Route 5, Putney
25 minutes

Great food coop, very small, local produce. Bakery, coffee shop in the village that also serves lunch.

Close to Walker Farm for an all-afternoon food experience.
